国务院总理李克强当地时间19日下午在纽约会见美国总统奥巴马。双方就中美关系和共同关心的重大国际和地区问题广泛、深入交换了意见。
李克强首先转达习近平主席对奥巴马总统的亲切问候。李克强表示，中美加强合作符合两国人民根本利益，也是国际社会的共同期待。中方愿同美方进一步深化两国在双边、地区和全球层面各领域合作，扩大经贸、两军、执法司法、反恐、网络安全、人文以及地方务实合作，加强在朝鲜半岛、气候变化等重大国际问题上的协调，推动二十国集团
领导人杭州峰会各项成果的落实，为推进中美合作议程，促进两国关系持续、健康、稳定发展注入新动力。
李克强指出，经贸合作是两国关系的“压舱石”和“推进器”。双方要共同推动中美投资协定谈判早日完成，相互扩大市场准入，为彼此企业提供更好的营商环境与合作预期。双方要妥善处理经贸摩擦，防止两国经贸关系受到不必要的干扰。希望美方放宽高技术产品对华出口限制。
李克强重申了中方在台湾、涉藏等问题上的原则立场，希望美方妥善处理有关问题。
奥巴马表示，美中关系保持稳定，对两国和世界都很重要。美方希望美中关系得到强有力、可持续发展，赞赏两国在国际、地区问题上开展的合作。
奥巴马指出，经济关系是美中关系的稳定因素。美方支持中国的改革进程，希望推动双边投资协定谈判等取得积极进展。
奥巴马重申，美国政府奉行一个中国政策不会改变。
在谈及朝鲜半岛问题时，李克强表示，中方始终坚持实现半岛无核化、坚持维护半岛和平稳定、坚持通过对话协商解决问题。赞同安理会对朝方最近一轮核试验做出进一步反应，同时希望各方避免采取导致局势紧张升级的行动，反对美方在韩部署“萨德”系统。
在谈及人民币汇率问题时，李克强强调，中国经济发展拥有巨大回旋余地，呈现稳定向好态势。人民币不存在持续贬值的基础，人民币汇率将在合理均衡水平上保持基本稳定。

I am here with students at Wake field High School in Arlington, Virginia. And we've got students tuning in from all across America, from kindergarten through 12th grade. I know that for many of you, today is the first day of school. And no matter what grade you're in, some of you are probably wishing it were still summer and you could stayed in bed just a little bit longer this morning.

I know that feeling. When I was young, my family lived overseas. I lived in Indonesia for a few years. And my mother, she didn't have the money to send me where all the American kids went to school, but she thought it was important for me to keep up with an American education. So she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, Monday through Friday. But because she had to go to work, the only time she could do it was at 4:30 in the morning.

I've talked a lot about your government's responsibility for setting high standards, and supporting teachers and principals, and turning around schools that aren't working, where students aren't getting the opportunities that they deserve.

But at the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, the best schools in the world -- and none of it will make a difference, none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities, unless you show up to those schools, unless you pay attention to those teachers, unless you listen to your parents and grandparents and other adults and put in the hard work it takes to succeed. That's what I want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your education.

Maybe you could be a mayor or a senator or a Supreme Court justice -- but you might not know that until you join student government or the debate team.

You'll need the creativity and ingenuity you develop in all your classes to build new companies that will create new jobs and boost our economy.

I get it. I know what it's like. But I was -- I was lucky. I got a lot of second chances, and I had the opportunity to go to college and law school and follow my dreams. My wife, our First Lady Michelle Obama, she has a similar story. Neither of her parents had gone to college, and they didn't have a lot of money. But they worked hard, and she worked hard, so that she could go to the best schools in this country.
Some of you might not have those advantages. Maybe you don't have adults in your life who give you the support that you need. Maybe someone in your family has lost their job and there's not enough money to go around. Maybe you live in a neighborhood where you don't feel safe, or have friends who are pressuring压迫 you to do things you know aren't right.
But at the end of the day, the circumstances境况 of your life -- what you look like, where you come from, how much money you have, what you've got going on at home -- none of that is an excuse for neglecting 忽略 your homework or having a bad attitude in school. That's no excuse for talking back顶嘴 to your teacher, or cutting class逃课， or dropping out of school辍学. There is no excuse for not trying.
Where you are right now doesn't have to determine where you'll end up. No one's written your destiny命运 for you, because here in America, you write your own destiny. You make your own future.
That's what young people like you are doing every day, all across America.
Young people like Jazmin Perez, from Roma, Texas. Jazmin didn't speak English when she first started school. Neither of her parents had gone to college. But she worked hard, earned good grades, and got a scholarship to Brown University -- is now in graduate school, studying public health, on her way to becoming Dr. Jazmin Perez.
I'm thinking about Andoni Schultz, from Los Altos, California, who's fought brain脑 cancer since he was three. He's had to endure忍耐 all sorts of treatments and surgeries手术, one of which affected his memory, so it took him much longer -- hundreds of extra hours -- to do his schoolwork. But he never fell behind. He's headed to college this fall. And then there's Shantell Steve, from my hometown of Chicago, Illinois. Even when bouncing 跳from foster home抚养孤儿的家庭to foster home in the toughest粗暴 neighborhoods in the city, she managed to get a job at a local health care center, start a program to keep young people out of gangs帮派, and she's on track to graduate high school with honors and go on to college.
And Jazmin, Andoni, and Shantell aren't any different from any of you. They face challenges in their lives just like you do. In some cases they've got it a lot worse off than many of you. But they refused to give up. They chose to take responsibility for their lives, for their education, and set goals for themselves. And I expect all of you to do the same.
That's why today I'm calling on each of you to set your own goals for your education -- and do everything you can to meet them. Your goal can be something as simple as doing all your homework, paying attention in class, or spending some time each day reading a book. Maybe you'll decide to get involved in an extracurricular课外 activity, or volunteer in your
community. Maybe you'll decide to stand up for kids who are being teased取笑 or bullied恐吓 because of who they are or how they look, because you believe, like I do, that all young people deserve应得 a safe environment to study and learn. Maybe you'll decide to take better care of yourself so you can be more ready to learn. And along those lines, by the way, I hope all of you are washing your hands a lot, and that you stay home from school when you don't feel well, so we can keep people from getting the flu流感 this fall and winter.
But whatever you resolve决定 to do, I want you to commit to it. I want you to really work at it. I know that sometimes you get that sense from TV that you can be rich and successful without any hard work -- that your ticket to success is through rapping 说唱音乐 or basketball or being a reality TV star. Chances are you're not going to be any of those things.
The truth is, being successful is hard. You won't love every subject that you study. You won't click with every teacher that you have. Not every homework assignment will seem completely relevant有关的 to your life right at this minute. And you won't necessarily succeed at everything the first time you try.
That's okay. Some of the most successful people in the world are the ones who've had the most failures. J.K. Rowling's -- who wrote Harry Potter -- her first Harry Potter book was rejected拒绝 12 times before it was finally published. Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. He lost hundreds of games and missed thousands of shots during his career. But he once said, "I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that's why I succeed."
These people succeeded because they understood that you can't let your failures define使明确 you -- you have to let your failures teach you. You have to let them show you what to do differently the next time. So if you get into trouble, that doesn't mean you're a troublemaker, it means you need to try harder to act right. If you get a bad grade, that doesn't mean you're stupid, it just means you need to spend more time studying. No one's born being good at all things. You become good at things through hard work. You're not a varsity athlete主力队员 the first time you play a new sport. You don't hit every note the first time you sing a song. You've got to practice. The same principle applies to情况发生 your schoolwork. You might have to do a math problem a few times before you get it right. You might have to read something a few times before you understand it. You definitely肯定 have

联邦选举委员会的参选总统“候选人声明”，只要求填写姓名、住址、所属党派和竞选职位，不需要出生日期和物种，更不需要缴纳任何费用。人们不失幽默地选择奇怪的假名登记，包括阿拉斯加的“北极小精灵的兄弟”、得克萨斯州的“大学城地下黑暗王子的萨旦君王”、“汤姆·布雷迪(美国橄榄球联盟着名四分卫)的素描”等，其中还有两只猫和一只黑色拉布拉多犬。
联邦选举委员会称，正在处理比以往40年来更多的“非传统”的总统选举参选者。
《芝加哥论坛报》25日报道称，当地14岁的雅各布·鲁宾(Jacob
Rubin)和弟弟一起于18日为爱犬贝利(Bailey)填写了参选登记表。“贝利在印第安纳州出生并获救，我们不知道它的确切年龄，估计是人类年龄4-5岁，在狗的年龄中有35岁了，这使得它有资格竞选总统。”鲁宾说，“我的灵感来自于一篇文章，介绍正在参选的古怪的总统候选人。”
美国宪法规定总统必须是年满35岁的“公民”，猫狗都不能成为候选人。
目前参选者中最有人气的，当属爱荷华州的高中生“疯子”(Deez Nuts)，其真名为奥尔森(Brady
Olson)，虽然今年只有15岁，不具备参选资格，但最近一份民调显示，“疯子”的支持率还不低，在北卡罗来纳有9%的支持率，在明尼苏达州有8%，在爱荷华州也有7%。而且上周在谷歌的搜索引擎中，“疯子”的搜索比例比希拉里还要高。奥尔森说，只要美国人捧场，他这个玩笑会持续下去。
联邦选举委员会副新闻官希兰(Christian
Hilland)表示，“该机构没有权利、也不能对个人的资质、竞选资格或获得选票的方式进行判断。”他
们不认为任何人都可以成为正式的候选人，直到他们筹集竞选捐款或竞选相关花费超过5000美元。
