enthusiasm 第一篇_出国热_The_Enthusiasm_for_Studying_Abroad

The Enthusiasm for Studying Abroad

Recently, a news report said that the number of Chinese studying abroad in 2009 has reached 229 thousands, an increase of 27.5 percent over the previous year. Undoubtly, today China has been one of those biggest studying-abroad countries. Integrating the reasons from all the repects,we can summarize to two main parts, which is the speedy increase of domestic consumptive level and the consciousness of self-improvement.

The first reason, which is also the basic one, is the increase of domestic consumptive level. Attributing to the high-speed development of China’s economy, the per capita disposable income of both urban and rural residents has been increasing significantly. To study abroad has no longer been an unreachable dream for Chinese people, and affording the expensive tuition and accommodation expense won't be a problem any more. Besides, to better encourage people to receive advanced oversea education, a series of policies have been carried out by Chinese government, which to a large extent played a big role in promoting the numbers of studying abroad.

The other main reason should be the increasing consciousness of self-improvement. Though domestic educatioon have been improving greatly for many years, we can’t deny that a large number of schools of developed countries, such as the USA,Great Britain,Australia, etc, generally speaking, have been surpassed our nation a lot more, in terms of several

areas. No wonder an continually increasing number of students, especially those with high degrees, choose to receive further education abroad.

Avoiding failure in big examination can also demonstrate people try hard for self-improvement via studying abroad. In China, the most popular examination must be the Entrance Examination of Colleges, in which millions of students participates every year. Obviously the competition is so fierce. However, colleges or universities in foreign countries usually have lower entrance limitation than in China comparatively, mostly for their less population press. In a general way, to apply for a fairish school, except for those superb universities, such as Harvard、Oxford, etc, as long as you have met the requirement for language and proved to be able to afford the expense, then you can consider your application as a distinct possibility.

Nevertheless,a phenomenon aroused our attention nowadays that many of those graduated abroad would rather stay in foreign country, looking for job or settling down directly, than go back to China, for its attractive salary and comfortable living condition. We should be clear that it’s our country that nurtured us and we can’t just forsake her when she needs our abilities and powers to construct. All in all, our own country shouldn’t be forgetted, on the other hand, studying abroad indeed benefits people greatly, and students should be encouraged to seize such chances if appear.

Studying abroad

Nowadays many wealthy families prefer to sent thier chilren abroad for study. In my opinions ,there are both advantages and disavantages about studying abroad.

The good point is the children can have a better language-learning environment, which contributes to study foreign language. They can improve themselves through speaking with native speaker ,which brings them great benifits .In addition ,this can broaden their horizons and study advanced technologies in other countries.

However ,there are still some drawbacks. The children lack of real life experience and self-control since they are too young. Also, this may mentally influenzes the students, and affects them in both study and econamic.

Enthusiasm Takes You Further

·Anonymous·

Years ago, when I started looking for my first job, wise advisers urged,“Barbara,be enthusiastic! Enthusiasm will take you further than any amount of experience. ” How right they were. Enthusiastic people can turn a boring drive into an adventure, extra work into opportunity and strangers into friends. “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. ”wrote Ralph Waldo Emerson. It is the paste that helps you hang in there when the going gets tough. It is the inner voice that whispers,“ I can do it!”when others shout,“ No,you can’t .” It took years and years for the early work of Barbara Mc-Clintock,a geneticist who won the 1983 Nobel Prize in medicine,to be generally accepted. Yet she didn’t let up on her experiments. Work was such a deep pleasure for her that she never thought of stopping. We are all born with wide-eyed,enthusiastic wonder as anyone knows who has ever seen an infant’s delight at the jingle of keys or the scurrying of a beetle. It is this childlike wonder that gives enthusiastic people such a youthful air, whatever their age. At 90,cellist Pablo Casals would start his day by playing Bach. As the music flowed through his fingers, his stooped shoulders would straighten and joy would reappear in his eyes. Music, for Casals, was an elixir that made life a never ending adventure. As author and poet Samuel Ullman once wrote,“Years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. ” How do you rediscover the enthusiasm of your childhood? The answer,I believe, lies in the word itself.“Enthusiasm”comes from the Greek and means“God within”. And what is God within is but an abiding sense of love—proper love of self (self-acceptance) and, from that, love of others. Enthusiastic people also love what they do,regardless of money or title or power. If we cannot do what we love as a full-time career,we can do it as a part-time avocation, like the head of a state who paints, the nun who runs marathons, the executive who handcrafts furniture. Elizabeth Layton of Wellsville,Kan,was 68 before she began to draw. This activity ended bouts of depression that had plagued her for at least 30 years, and the quality of her work led one critic to say,“I am tempted to call Layton a genius. ”Elizabeth has rediscovered her enthusiasm. We can’t afford to waste tears on“might-have-beens”. We need to turn the tears into sweat as we go after“ what-can-be”. We need to live each moment wholeheartedly, with all our senses—finding pleasure in the fragrance of a back-yard garden, the crayoned picture of a six-year-old,the enchanting beauty of a rainbow. It is such enthusiastic love of life that puts a sparkle in our eyes,a lilt in our steps and smooths the wrinkles from our souls.

The Enthusiasm For Sports

The Enthusiasm For Sports

Though PE class is a part of children's education, many teenagers didn't form the habit of doing exercise, they don't have interest in sports. Enthusiasm for sports is of great importance, young people should treat it as their integral part of education.

【enthusiasm】

On the one hand, promoting enthusiasm for sports among teenagers helps them keep a healthy lifestyle. In the school, students are forced to take exercise in the PE class, they need to join certain activities. In this way, students live in a healthy lifestyle, they won't get sick easily. But after they leaving school, no one forces them to do so, so they are lazy to take exercise, their bodies gets weaker.

【enthusiasm】

On the other hand, the enthusiasm for sports can help students enhance their sense of teamwork. As we known, most sports need more than one person to do, like badminton and table tennis, these sports needs more than two people. When students are playing badminton, they need to cooperate, so that they can defeat others, if they just keep an eye on themselves, they game can't be played. Doing these sports will bring students the sense of teamwork, which is important for their career.

People should keep the habit of taking exercise, the sound body ensures better future. Enthusiasm for sports can make people feel it a happiness to take exercise.
