This month, I have finished book live which describes how a man lives strongly after experiencing his whole family members dead. This story is a tragedy but the major character insists on living instead of committing suicide. The main role’s name is Fu Gui whose family is very rich. He is a gambler and loses all his family property earned by his grandfather. He is caught by the army and used as labor on his way to find a doctor for his mother. After a few years, he comes back to home and is reunited with his family. After a while, his son dies because of blood donation. In his whole life, his daughter, his wife, his son-in-law and his grandson die one after another. Finally, he is the only one who survives with an almost dying cow.
After so many horrible things, Fu chooses to live and does not cry the following of his life. Maybe he has already given up any hope to live happily but he needs to live.. The truth that no one but him is in his family has not knocked him down. However, I think that the thing which is alive is his body not his heart. In the end of the story, he and his cow walk in the field and he talks to the cow and calls out all his family’s name. Eventually, he lives with his family which is in his memory.
Life will never go smoothly. People will face a lot of difficulties and setbacks in their journey. As a pessimist, life is a tragedy for me. We have to work hard and compete with others to survive without any rest. After more than ten year’s study, I finally go to college but I have to forget everything I have learned before and learn a different way to survive in the society. I feel so tired but I cannot give up because my family needs me. We are the least important things for the whole world but we are the most significant gifts for our family.We are human not animal, which dooms us to struggle for our life. We have no choice but to fight. No matter what happens, the only thing we need to remember: as long as we live, we will have hope in the future.

Third, the Bible influences British literature on styles and artistic characteristics. The books retell most of the narratives of the Bible in 411 stories. The books have been marketed in the United States for many years by placing the first volume, which covers the first part of the book of Genesis, in doctor's offices with postage prepaid post cards included for readers to order the set or ask for more information. Originally written in English, the books have been translated into French and Spanish, and a new revision has been made based on the New International Version (NIV) translation of the Bible.
As the Holy Bible of the Christianity, its own has strong artistic charm and great aesthetic value, making it as the source of British literary works creation. I've learnt a story from the Bible about Esau and his brother Jacob. They are twins. However, they are so different in temperament: Esau is rough and honest , and Jacob ideceives. One day, Jacob cooks a stew . At this moment, Esau returns from hunting, very exhausted and thirsty, so he asks for it. But Jacob insists that Esau sell his birthright to him and swear an oath. And finally Esau does as Jacob says.

Esau's story and lessons also apply to people like you and me , who are living in a complex modern society. We are faced with too much temptation. In such cases, you are likely to be conqured and probably do something stupid. How to avoid this? What you can do ,from my point of view , is to keep your reason, stay cool-headed, think over and figure out a solution which can balance immediate interests and long-term interests.
The Bible is the story of man's complete ruin in sin and God's perfect salvation in Christ. The Bible is God's love letter to us, telling us that, even though we have turned away from God and broken His commandments, God loves us with all His heart and He wants us to come back to Him. The Bible is the most important book in the world because it tells us how to be saved. God gave us this wonderful book that we might know the truth about ourselves, about sin, about Satan, about God, and about salvation. From beginning to end, the Bible has one great theme — the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The books of the Bible fall into five main groups: The Old Testament gives us the history of Abraham and his descendants who became the nation of Israel. The great theme of the Old Testament is a promised Savior. Isaiah wrote, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." The Gospels tell us that the promised Savior has come. They tell us about the Lord Jesus Christ and what He said and did. The Acts tell about the coming of the Holy Spirit, the beginning of the Church, and the preaching of the gospel — the "good news" that Christ died for our sins and rose again to be our living Savior. The
Epistles explain the gospel and tell us how we can be saved and how to live the Christian life. The Revelation tells us how all things will end. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we had someone who knew all about God to teach us His wonderful book? Well, there is Someone like that. He is the Holy Spirit. The moment we take Christ as our Savior, the Holy Spirit comes to live in us. He lives in every believer, and He teaches us the things of God.

Jane was an orphan. She lived in her aunt’s house. Her aunt didn’t like her, so she took her to an orphanage. Jane studied in the orphanage and learned a lot of things. When Jane grew up, she worked as a governess in a big family and taught the child in this family. Bit by bit, Jane and her master Mr Rochester fell in love with each other. But the master had a wife. She was a madwoman. When Jane knew this, she left her teaching post.But she could not forget her master. So, at last, she visited her master. At that time, her master’ house was burnt down and he became handicapped. His mad wife died in the big fire. Jane decided to get married with him and look after him.
Jane Eyre found his real love and she was a happy woman. The most important thing is that Jane believed everybody were equal.
In my mind, though a person’s beautiful face can make others once feel that is attractive .if his or her mind isn’t the same beautiful as the appearance, such as beauty cannot last , when others find that the beauty which had charmed them was only a falsity, it’s not true,
they will not like the person any more. For a long time, only a person’s great virtue, a noble soul, a beautiful heart can be called as an everlsting beauty, just as Kahill Gibran had said, that ‘Beauty is a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted'.There are great differences in our souls, and from that, we can know that whether a man is noble or ordinary, and even obscure, that is, whether he is beautiful or not.

This book was written during the American Civil War. Scarlett ,a beautiful girl with "bristling black eyelashes ",use to charm man. When I first read it, I did not like her. In my view ,she was a paradoxical human. She was hopelessly selfish,vain,manipulative,deluded and foolish,but she is also extremely vivacious,loyal and strong character.She had a strong will .whatever she thought she will try her best way to do it.
In the book,she always think she loves Ashley.and she believe that Ashley also loves her.Although at the end he leaves her unkindly,she never give up this thought.
But when I read it secondly.I find that she is just a lonely girl. during the Civil war , she has to make enough money to live with her lover and valentine. She pursuits but also ignore the true love . she regards Ashley as her true love but ignore Barrett who is always being with her.
What a pity! If Scarlett can understand who is her lover and can give her happy life, she will not live so hard. Luckly , she has a strong will.
Barrett is one of the persons that I like most. He was born in a wealth family, And has a good education. He did many things for Scarlett. He protected her, loved her,looked after her. He is waiting for Scarlett patiently. But Scarlett refused. As a smart ,charming,grave man. He could have had a better lover . He is not leave until his daughter's death.
After read this book, I learned that we should enthusiastic with our
life. Such as Scarlett. When I happen to something bad , I will tell myself "Tomorrow is another day" !

Recently,I’ve read a practically useful book called "How to Read a Book".
When I go to the university,I find that there are many things different from high school.Especially,I have more free time to study on my own and professors give us lots of reading tasks.As the saying goes "books are the ladder of human progress.”So before reading a book,we have to solve important questions:how to read a book? How to improveour reading comprehension?By reading this book,I find the answer.
It’s written by Mortimer J·Adler who is a famousAmerican pholosopher,educator and professional editor.He is kown for leading to edit "Encyclopedia Britannica "in 1974.
This book introducesus some ways to read and understand books better.Firstly,it tells us the importance to be an active reader.Then the auther analyzes four levels of reading(including elementary reading,inspectionalreading,analytical reading and syntopical reading),and how to achieve them.What'smore,there're some reading methods for different books(imaginative literature,history and social science and so on).Finally,the writer recommands a reading list about classical books and describes the meaning of reading.
This book is a guide to reading great books.Although it was first published in 1940 and has a long history, it still very popular and has huge sales now.
Maybe sometimes I feel it boring to read the book,but try to finish it,you’ll find its value. In the process of reading the book,it really benefits me a lot to use some techniques to understand a book betterand increase reading efficiency and skills.Ofcourse,it's worth to read when I want to challenge myself to read great and acedemicbooks.By this way, I can get more konwledges and keep active minds
