So, I am going to review the words by playing games with them.

Here comes the first game: who can write more? [Presenting the 5th PPT about the 1st game]I am going to divide the students into two groups, for example boys and girls. They are given two minutes to rush to the blackboard and write down the subjects they know. The group which can write more will be the winner. Imagine how excited the students are, and at the same time, they are also reviewing the words. Well, what’s more, you may have noticed these two subjects, Physics and Chemistry. Well, you can see, in this way, students can put more attention to how to begin and how to end a letter. Then, they have a time, can have a

Well, at the same time, they should also pick out those well used words and sentences, and share them with the whole class. Then, they have a discussion “what information can we use? Of course, it is easy for them to find these information like these three ones ( time & day, teacher, reason ), because they are in the letter. But what else? Students need to think about that. Well, why? As we know it is easy to copy, but difficult to create. Sometimes, the given material gives us a good example, but sometimes, they may also limit students’ ideas. So they need to go further. As some teachers may prefer to offer the answers directly to the students. But I am not. I think teaching students how to learn is much more important than just teaching knowledge. So students should think about that by themselves. Well, this part is also a brainstorm to them. Till now, they have known so much. Since that, they should be given a chance to put what they’ve known into practice. So I prepare two practices[Presenting the 12th PPT about the 2 practices]. Practice number one, students have a Free Talk about their favorite subjects, if they can express themselves fluently and naturally, they won’t have much difficulty in writing them down. Well, when they finish writing, six students get into a group, they exchange their letters and try to correct mistakes. Why they should do that? Well, teachers may have noticed that not many students have the habit of rewriting and correcting mistakes when they finish writing, and I want them to realize this is also very important.

Ok, after that, each group chooses two representatives, the best one and the one who has made great progress. Which two? I think not only those advanced students but also the less advanced students should be given a chance to show how good they are. 2. Teaching aims and demands, there are knowledge aims, ability aims and emotional aims. The knowledge aims are to enable the students to master the new words, star, eat, well, habit, healthy, really, question, want, be, fat. the phrases,eat well, eating habit, sports star, after dinner, one last question. the sentences,What do you like for breakfast?/What fruit do you like? The ability aims are to develop the students’ abilities of reading and writing, to train the students’ abilities of using language, to guide the students to talk about likes and dislikes and to develop the students’ abilities of creative thinking and cooperative study. The emotional aims are to arouse the students’ interest in learning English, to enable the students to form good eating habits.

3. Teaching key points and difficult points: The teaching key points are to enable students to use the new words, phrases and sentences in English, The difficult points are to enable students to talk about other’s eating habits..

Then I’ll talk about Part 2 the analysis of students. The students have learned English for several years so far. But they are new in middle school. Let’s move on to another part: the analysis of teaching methods. In my lesson, I will use multimedia computer assisted instruction(多媒体计算机辅助教学), task-based activities(任务型教学法), situational approach(情境教学法).

Now I’ll talk about teaching procedures. I design my lesson into five steps. First, I’ll divide the students into 12 groups and bring a competition into the class.

By this they will more familiar with the grammer of this unit .Thirdly ,they will be asked to translate 3 sentenses. What do you like for breakfast? I love fruit. 我说课的题目是初中英语第三册第50课,本课为口语阅读课,整个说课我将分三部分进行讲述,即教材分析、教学环节的设计、教学程序。

一、教材分析

(一)教材的地位和作用:

第50课以详实准确的数据围绕本单元的中心话题----当代人类最关注的人口问题,对学生进行了深刻的人口教育,不仅在本单元占据主导地位也是训练学生口语表达能力的良好素材。根据新课标对学生交际能力的培养尤其对学生口语及阅读能力的要求不断提高,以及我校要突出英语优势打造枫叶品牌的实际情况,我将本课设计为一堂口语阅读课。

(二)教学目标的确立和依据

为了不仅要完成正常的教学任务,还要有效地培养学生的创新精神和实践能力,确定如下教学目标:

1、知识目标: 熟练掌握数词的表达法。

2、能力目标:a.有效提高阅读速度和理解材料的准确度 b.能自如表达本课重点话题人口增长问题。

c.能灵活运用所学知识并展开丰富地想象力流畅地表达其他相关内容。

3、情感目标:

通过一些有力地事实、数据和图片使学生深刻地认识到人口问题的严重性,使他们意识到我们只有一个地球爱护我们的家园人人有责!

(三)重点和难点

1、重点:根据新课程标准对阅读能力的要求,我确定本课重点为提高学生快速阅读的水平。我采用英语趣味教学法,采取图片导入、

方法解析和逐步检验的方法使其掌握快速阅读的技巧。

2、难点:口语水平的提高。我班的学生都来自公立学校,长期以来,传统的外语教学注重书本知识的讲授,忽视交际能力的培养使许多学生不敢开口、羞于在人前表达因而口语薄弱。我通过创设引人入胜的情境和师生共同讨论、记者采访专家等新颖方式,以及不断鼓励的方法突破难点。

二、教学环节的设计

学生具有无限的潜力,需要教师适时、适当地引导。通过设计有效问题激发学生的兴趣使他们始终处于主动寻求知识去学习而不是被动地接受知识的状态,让学生发挥其主体地位使其真正成为课堂的主人

三、.教学程序

1、课前对话:

师生问候之后,让学生两人一组围绕数字进行自由对话。每天3-5分钟口语练习时为了提高学生的交际能力,新课标指出口语是在人与人交流时即兴脱口而出的,会话双方都必须对听到的语言快速做出反应,才能使谈话继续。同时由于口语具有很强的交互性,合作学习的成效对口语水平的提高至关重要。这些都要求为学生的口语学习创造必要的条件,提供良好的训练。

给学生展示这样两幅图片:

一个平衡的杠杆上,一些人在左,我们的地球在右;第二张图上左边新增的人使杠杆不再平衡。之后问学生:看了这两幅图,你会想到什么?又是什么引发了这个问题?学生会表达一些自己的见解,这时不论他们的见解是否正确都要给与鼓励和表扬,然后问学生:是否知道每一天每小时每分钟每秒钟全世界会新增加多少人口?学生会很有探究答案的欲望,这时很自然地让学生打开书去阅读50课的文章STANGDING ROOM ONLY 并找出我给出的这张表格的答案 6、最后一个环节是作业.本节课教学效果的预测100%的学生能够积极参与教学,90%的学生能流利的表达自己的思想,并通过课下的反馈了解学生对本课的掌握情况
