Proposal Engineer-PTA

Role Description - summary

Responsible for preparing quotations for Powertrain Assembly equipment.

Main Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Review and understand customers inquiry specifications

Develop “Proposed Concept”

Line-up Sub-Supplier/Vendors

Review Sub-Supplier/Vendors quotes for content and compliance

Identify possible assembly process improvements

Coordinate customer activities, (i.e. attend/arrange meetings)

Prepare Proposal concept drawings【abb招聘】

Prepare quotation document

Prepare presentation materials

Develop a „full cost‟ estimate based on identifying equipment and sub-supplier vendor quotes Prepare job cost budgets for „sold‟ business

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

University degree major in Engineering perferred

5 years engineering experience with Powertrain Assembly systems

Prior proposal and estimating experience a plus

 Shop floor experience (in a addition to engineering) a plus

 Excellent computer skills with experience using Micro-Soft Word and Excel Technical writing ability

Strong ability to communicate verbally and written

Autocad experience is a must

Understanding of good accounting practices/cost development

Ability to identify decision needs and seek the proper individual to do so

Work as a „team player‟

Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills

Seek and be „open‟ to new technology and ideas

3.Job Title:

Control Engineers-PTA

INTRODUCTION【abb招聘】

Our department supply customer with turn key solutions of powertrain. It is critical to the business that the solutions delivered perform effectively and price competitively. This role is acting as team member for control system design, especially ABB Robot programming. Necessary PLC knowledge and experience is required as well. The role needs to help control PE (project engineer leader) to fulfil certain tasks during project executing.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Responsibility for Robot simulation, type selection, offline programming, on site commissioning and training

Responsibility for implementing and maintaining those equipments and systems

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Robot program structure design for PTA projects.

Attend engineering project meetings with control PE and other team members.

Communicate with control PE to help define program requirements.

 Generate equipment’s interface with PLC.

 Generate Functional and Test Specifications.

 Know control application software (Siemens Step7, Wincc Flexible, AB RSLogix , GE proficy edition etc. ). Siemens knowledge as above at least.

 Carry out robot and system tests on site.

 Provide commissioning assistance.

 Step on project schedule.

 Customer off-site visits for:

- Robot start-up and commissioning.

- Fault finding and repair.

- Emergency restoration.

- Training.

- Technical support.

KEY COMPETENCIES

 Strong technical mindset.

 Knowledge for ABB Robot.

 Some Knowledge of AUTOCAD/ E-plan skills for making and reading electrical drawings.  Ability to converse with colleagues from a variety of levels.
