Some peoplelove to play badminton, some love to play football, others love swimming, butmy favorite sport is basketball. It is very popular in China because of YaoMing. Because of him, many boys in China get to know about basketball. He is soexcellent that everybody wants to play like him. He is my idol.

Afterschool, I often play basketball with my friends. I am the tallest boy in myclass, so I play as center. Playing basketball is not only good for our health,but also helping us to make friends. I hope someday I can be an outstandingplayer just like Yao Ming. Maybe in the future, I will go to NBA and win thechampion.

My favourite sport is basketball as it is very exciting. I like basketball because the N.B.A. stars play very well. Basketball is very cheap and it is a good sport for our health. We can grow taller if we play basketball often. Also it keeps me fit.
I play basketball three times a week. Most often I play it in my school. I often play it with my friends although I may play it myself. I feel very happy when I play basketball in school with my classmates. Sometimes I play basketball in the playground near my home.
Basketball is very easy to play. If you play basketball very well, you can form a basketball team to take part in the competition. If you win the basketball competition, you will have the prize. You may become a famous basketball star.
Therefore, basketball is a very good sport. I think, you can play basketball, can't you?
I like to do all kinds of sports, in the morning, I will do some jogging and in the evening, sometime I will go to the gym with my friends. My favorite sport is playing tennis, tennis brings my life so much happiness, I can watch the match while talking to my friends happily. When I was small, one day, when I went home after school, I felt bored and opened the TV, then I saw the tennis match. Football needs quick reaction and decision. When chance comes it may disappear in the next second. I should keep an eye watching as an eagle decide and judge quickly as a leopard and run for it as a wolf.
Further more football is a sports more than just exercising It needs team work. No one can play himself. A team should work together. So I learn to cooperate with others in this game. I should understand what my teammate doing and what he needs me to do for him. On the other side I should learn to show my teammate what I need. At the same time I need to keep an eye on the whole game knowing how is the situation of our team and how is the other team. It involved more cooperation and strategy.
I played football more for about 5 years now. I make many good friends through this sports. It is proud to win honor for my team and my school. Also I enjoy all games with my friends. Football will be my best friends in the future and my best memory about school life.

I’m from a beautiful city-Suzhou. No matter in cold days in winter or hot days in summer, a little girl goes to Suyuan Experimental Primary School every morning on bike, with smiling face. That is me-Gu Xun, a lively , bright girl. I have many hobbies and I like sports the most. And I’m good at running, skipping rope, swimming, riding on bike and so on.
Are you strange that a girl like sports so much? The reason is very simple. Firstly, sports can make us stronger and healthier, and far away from diseases. I’m the right example. When I was little , I saw the doctor very often. But after I had sports, I became strong and healthy. Secondly, sports are good for “low carbon life”. Today so many cars, and so much oil is used and waste gas pollutes the air. If people can go to work and back from work on bike like me or on feet, much oil can be saved and the air will be fresh. Why we do not do?
