一、揭示课题
1、有一位曾经就读那里的校友叫史铁生。现在已经54岁了。母亲离开他已经几十年了。这么多年，他一直思念着自己的母亲。这是他写的一段话，请读一读，看你读出了作者怎样的情感。(默读)
那时的我，作为她的儿子，还太年轻，还来不及为母亲着想，我被命运击昏了头，一心以为自己是世上最不幸的一个，不知道儿子的不幸在母亲那儿总是要加倍的。她有一个长到二十岁上忽然截瘫了的儿子，这是她唯一的儿子;她情愿截瘫的是自己而不是儿子，可这事无法代替;她想，只要儿子能活下去哪怕自己去死呢也行，可她又确信一个人不能仅仅是活着，儿子得有一条路走向自己的幸福;而这条路呢，没有谁能保证她的儿子终于能找到——而这样的母亲，注定是世界上活得最苦的母亲。(课件)
2、谈体会：你感受到了作者怎样的情感?
(1)我感受到了，作者对母亲的怀念、思念之情;
(2)作者对母亲的忏悔、懊悔、后悔、悔恨之情;
(3)作者对母亲的自责、内疚之情;
(4)作者自己的成长，完全理解母亲了……
小结：正如作者说“而这样的母亲，注定是世界上活得最苦的母亲”上(板书：“苦”)，其实，还有许多复杂的情感构成一股苦涩的滋味，我们可以归结为一个词：怀念。(板书：怀念)为了表达对母亲的怀念，作者写了什么季节的故事?(板书：秋天)
3、注意看，老师加上一个“的”齐读课题：“怀念的秋天”。你的眼前会有一幅怎样的画儿?(景、事、人……);老师把几个词的位置颠倒一下：“秋天的怀念”，齐读课题。你的眼前会有怎样的不同?(……变成一种情感……)
小结：看来，之所以有这秋天的怀念(课件)，就是秋天的故事所引发啊，作者怎么会有这份怀念?让我们一起跟随史铁生先走进秋天的故事。(在“秋天”下面做标记)
4.为了更好理解这秋天的故事，我们先来检查一下自己读书的情况。这里有个自测题，请同学们自测一下看到达哪个台阶：(课件显示)——正确、流利、有感情。(让学生可以先自由读一读，然后让学生读书，让其他学生评价该生读书属于怎样的层次，以学定教。可以重点指导几个儿话音，比如“咱俩儿”，“好好儿活”)
5.根据学生朗读情况得出结论。比如，提出进一步要求：(同学们说的有感情，到底怎么算是有感情?有时候我们说的时候很模糊。难道是语调的高亢?或是技巧的高超?我们要在“正确、流利”的朗读中咂摸他人的人生，要在“自己的理解”中读出自己的滋味，即“读出味道”。(课件以阶梯状出现在“有感情”的基础上)。你怎么理解这个“味道”?(结合生活实际讲)
6.怎样读出自己的理解，读出自己的“味道”?下面让我们一起走进秋天的故事。
二、探讨母爱的内涵
(一)走进母亲自身的“好好儿活”。
1.请同学看课文第一段，母亲的一句话却深深地刻在“我”的心底，说说是哪一句话。(课件：“咱娘儿俩在一块儿，好好儿活，好好儿活……”)(板书：“娘俩——好好儿活”)
2.顾名思义，这娘俩指的是——母亲和儿子两人在一块好好活。
3.这是母亲对儿子说的话，儿子是怎么不好好活了，母亲才会说出这样的话?请用课文中的句子，朗读给大家听。比如：
(1)双腿瘫痪后，我的脾气变得暴怒无常。望着望着天上北归的雁群，我回突然把面前的玻璃砸碎;听着听着李谷一甜美的歌声，我会猛地把手边的东西摔向四周的墙壁。
(2)“哎呀，烦不烦?几步路，有什么好准备的!”
(3)“不，我不去!”我狠命地捶打这两条可恨的腿，喊着：“我活着有什么劲!”
4.是啊，我活着还有什么劲?所以：独自坐在屋里，看着窗外的树“唰唰啦啦”地飘落，我——————————————————————。(课件：扩充句子训练)
5、实话实说的讨论：你们多大?21岁活蹦乱跳的年龄，可以四处周游，有多少事情可以做!没有了双腿，他这样做，你们怎样看?
小结：面对这样天大的打击，他活着好“苦”啊!(回扣板书的“苦”)
6.请注意：母亲的自身情况又是怎样?请也找课文相关句子读给大家听。比如：
a.可是我却一直都不知道，她的病已经到了那步田地。后来妹妹告诉我，她常常肝疼得整宿整宿翻来覆去地睡不了觉。
b.她出去了。就再也没有回来。邻居的小伙子背着我去看她的时候，她正艰难地呼吸着，大口大口吐血……
7.有没有知道得肝癌的病人的疼痛滋味的，请补充说明?
8.这些痛苦儿子知道吗?除了外人不能知道的痛苦，还有一点，就是病人清醒地知道她离死亡更近的痛苦啊。然而，即使面对死亡，母亲有没有把玻璃砸碎?有没有把东西摔向墙壁?有没有喊着我活着有什么劲(教师问一句，学生接一句)?史铁生的发怒我们都可以理解，母亲的发怒我们更可以理解啊。可母亲为什么没有那样做，而要这样做?!(估计回答落脚点就在“为了儿子着想”)
(二)、走进母亲的让儿子“好好活”。
1、请再细细读读课文，看看哪些地方说明母亲一切都是为了儿子?
(1)比如——母亲进来了，挡在窗前：“北海的菊花开了，我推着你去看看吧。”她憔悴的脸上现出央求般的神色。(学生说到这里，教师就抓住这一“挡”，追问，挡住的究竟是什么?实际是母亲像一扇门一样，挡住的不是窗外“唰唰啦啦”地飘落的树叶，而是儿子郁闷烦躁的思绪)
小结：母亲的爱好勇敢!带着这样的感受再读这句话。
